Ashton Patel

I am the co-founder of Gray Coyote Digital, a full-service digital agency that leads the development and optimization of digital services for business growth. In addition to co-founding the agency, I am a full-stack developer with over 8 years of experience, during which I have designed, developed, and maintained web applications optimized for various devices. My expertise spans both front-end and back-end development, and I have had the opportunity to help companies across a variety of industries in both the private and commercial sectors.

Throughout my career, I have led teams through complete web development lifecycles, from concept and design to launch and ongoing optimization. I am adept with technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, React, and various CMS platforms including WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace, which allow me to craft responsive and user-friendly websites. I have also integrated SEO and PPC strategies to develop websites that are both functional and effective in expanding business reach and conversions.

At Gray Coyote Digital, I work with clients from diverse industries, ranging from finance and healthcare to government and e-commerce, using data and experience-driven strategies to develop web solutions that drive growth. I’m passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems and love collaborating with others to create digital experiences that resonate with businesses and end users. Whether it’s enhancing user experience or optimizing performance, I am passionate about delivering high-quality results that make an impact.

When I’m not busy deving or running the agency, I love to immerse myself in my passions. I am an avid gamer and nerd, who enjoys the thrill and complexity of both virtual worlds and real-life projects. As a massive car enthusiast, I spend some of my free time working on my cars, and I’m even on the hunt for a new project car to build out. I’ve been an avid watch collector since I was a kid, and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. Staying active is also important to me, so you’ll find me working out or playing tennis. I also have a creative side, from making digital art and trying new coding projects to dabbling as an amateur photographer, I’m always interested in learning something new and improving my skills.

My passion for video games drives me both personally and professionally because I am currently in the process of designing and building my very first game, which is an exciting challenge. My background also includes time spent in the medical field, having volunteered at the Houston Veterans Affairs Medical Center and later in life working alongside a cardiologist at the Weatherhead PET Imaging Center. With much of my family coming from a medical background, I developed an early interest in medicine and anatomy.

Here’s a fun tidbit about me, with a last name like Patel, I was constantly asked if I knew a “Doctor Patel” or if I was one myself. Eventually, I embraced the mix-up and simply went along with it, earning the nickname “Doc” from friends and colleagues.
